Crunchy Christmas slaw

Japanese-Inspired Brussels Sprouts

  • Kitchen safety (especially knife safety)

  • Working within flavor profiles

  • Confidence cooking by themselves

  • Balancing following a recipe AND trusting their own tastebuds

What kids will learn

  • Welcome (12:00 PM)

  • Group discussion (10 min)

  • Safety lesson (5 min)

  • Introduction to our recipes (5 min)

  • Chef Mark demonstration (10 min)

  • Workstation setup (10 min)

  • Individual & group cooking (60 min)

  • Making take-home containers (15 min)

  • Pick-up (2:00 PM)

Registration Fee Includes

  • An apron to use during class 😊

  • All necessary ingredients

  • Access to cooking equipment

  • Kitchen safety lessons

  • Digital copies of the recipe

  • Development of skills such as:

    • Fundamental cooking techniques  

    • Reading recipes

    • Measuring ingredients

  • Cooking skills they’ll continue to use
