Guacamole & Horchata

Cook-Along Video Lesson

Gather your ingredients and kitchen tools, then cook with me in real time, and enjoy a delicious meal by the end of our class.

1. Get your ingredients

For 1 serving of guacamole

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1 lime

  • 1 avocado

  • 1T cilantro

  • Tortilla chips

For 6 cups horchata

  • 1C long-grain white rice

  • 1C slivered almonds

  • C organic white sugar

  • 1½t vanilla extract

  • 1t cinnamon, stick or ground (preferably Mexican)

  • 2C oat milk

2. Gather your equipment

  • Microplane (or fine grater)

  • Citrus juicer

  • Chef’s knife

  • Cutting board

  • Clean kitchen towel

  • Fork & large spoon from silverware set

  • Blender

  • Measuring spoons

  • Measuring cups

  • 2-cup liquid measuring cup

  • Electric spice grinder (if using whole cinnamon stick)

  • Fine mesh strainer (optional)
