Roasted Broccoli

1. Get your ingredients
1-2 heads broccoli (1½ lbs.)
3 Tbsp olive oil
¼ white sugar
1 lemon
2 Tbsp toasted sunflower seeds
1 Tbsp nutritional yeast
¼ tsp smoked paprika
Diamond Crystal kosher salt (see video below)
2. Gather your equipment
Chef’s knife
Cutting board
Clean kitchen towel
Large bowl for broccoli
Medium bowl for trash and scraps
Small bowl for topping
Vegetable peeler
Microplane or fine grater
Measuring spoons
Spice grinder or mortar and pestle (optional)
Sheet pan
Flat, rigid spatula
