Roasted Broccoli

Cook-Along Video Lesson

Gather your ingredients and kitchen tools, then cook with me in real time, and enjoy a delicious meal by the end of our class.

1. Get your ingredients

  • 1-2 heads broccoli (1½ lbs.)

  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

  • ¼ white sugar

  • 1 lemon

  • 2 Tbsp toasted sunflower seeds

  • 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast

  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika

  • Diamond Crystal kosher salt (see video below)

2. Gather your equipment

  • Chef’s knife

  • Cutting board

  • Clean kitchen towel

  • Large bowl for broccoli

  • Medium bowl for trash and scraps

  • Small bowl for topping

  • Vegetable peeler

  • Microplane or fine grater

  • Measuring spoons

  • Spice grinder or mortar and pestle (optional)

  • Sheet pan

  • Flat, rigid spatula
